Writer: Naomi CalderonNaomi Calderon

What to know before you buy a vacuum!

Vacuums come in all kinds of varieties. There are cordless, robot vacuums, upright, canister, bagged, and bagless. Some are loud, others are more more quiet, some last no more than 3 or 4 years, others can last 20 plus years, some have little to no maintenance, others need monthly maintenance, some can be repaired, and other s were made to be tossed asfter 2 years (that last on is sad :( ... So which one is right for your needs and which ones are our favorite?!

Our Favorites!

As a Promise Cleaning company near me, we don't want to find ourselves in a situation where we are stuck with an unreliable vacuum. So we tend to use brands that are made for commercial use. Thank goodness, these brands just happen to sell their vacuums to the regular consumer as well. We are refering to brands that may not be as well known to the American consumer, however are who we think are the most reliable in terms we will explain further. Promise Cleaning, maids near me. These brands include Sebo, Lindhaus, and Nacecare, LG, and Zero G. Compared to the poplular brands here in the US, such as Dyson and Shark, they are quiet close in price. The best way to save money would be to purchase them from a dealer. These companies work closely with dealers and want to protect that relationship, so its a win, win!!! So why aren't more people in the US buying from these brands? Promise Cleaning, weekly cleaning, monthly, bi-weekly house cleaning near me.The lesser known brands market through their dealers and word of mouth, while the famous companies are have invested far more money marketing t the public throu commercials.

Maintenance

People are busy, and while we know that any piece of equipment needs some form of regular maintenance, if there is any that is an unnecessary hassle, then let's avoid that kind of vacuum. Promise Cleaning offers house cleaning in Smyrna, Mableton, Powder Springs, Austell areas.

We prefer bagged vacuums simply because thay require the least amount maintenance. Bagged vacuums fill up with debris, and the user simply removes the bag and replaces it with a new one. Promise Cleaning, house cleaning near Mableton. Also vacuum bags these days are really affordable, in comparison to decades ago. This is when Dyson became famous for releasing a bagless vacuum because they felt the consumer would prefer to save money on bags and see the dirt that they had vacuumed in a clear dirt bin.

The problems with bagless vacuums are that they require regular monthly filter cleaning from the consumer, replacing the expensive pre-motor filter (and often something the consumer is even aware of) about every year, motor housing (wearing out the machine faster), and the consumer awkwardly dump the dirt collected in the clear bin, and half of the dirt is stuck up in the bin and the consumer needs to fish it out with their hands or find a long pointly object to fish it out. Cleaning near me, Promise Cleaning, located in Austell, Powder Springs, Mableton, and Smyrna. We find this a hasle and unnessesary.

Bagged vacuums have a filters too, however they aren't expensive and are easy to replace, plus the filters don't need to be washed. The bags themselves can be made with filtering capabilities including HEPA filtering, charcoal (helps eliminate odors), Silver micron infused (inhibits growth of bacteria) etc. House Cleaning near me When you remove the bag, you just need to close it and throw it into the trash. No plume of dust in your face!!

We do realize that at this time, stick and robo vacuums only come in bagless models. House cleaner near Smyrna, Mableton, Marietta, Austell, Powder Springs. So for that reason and also they have really made vacuuming easier and saved the consumer a lot of time, we make an exception for these types of vacuums and appreciate their value!

Vacuum body style

Upright vacuums are recommended for homes that are more than 50% high pile carpet. Often they come with an extention hose to vacuum between narrow and hard-to-reach areas. Promise Cleaning, house cleaning near me has used NaceCare vacuums in our cleaning business. While they can vacuum hard floors, they may leave some debris behind because of they were orginally made just to clean carpet.

Canister vacuums are more versitile as far as cleaning different areas. Most models are for vacuuming hard floors and low to medium pile carpet. They are the more economicly priced canister vacuums. However there are some with a power head meant for vacuuming high pile carpet as well. Canister vacuums that we really like and use in our cleaning company are Nace Care (known as Numatic in the UK), Sebo and Clarke Saltex.

Stick vacuums and robo vacuums are the most popular vacuums today. Stick vacuums can be really handy because they are lightweight and as long as their battery has been charged, they dont require the user to plug them in the wall. They are the extension pole of the vacuum in a form of a stick and no canister behind it, to make it easier for the user to maneuver through the house. Our favorite stick vacuums are made by LG and Lindhaus.

Robo vacuums can now vacuum AND MOP FLOORS!!! Honestly we think just robo vacuuming alone is one of the most incredible modern day inventions. All the time that they free up for the owner is just wonderful. Now any job given to a robot may not always be perfect, however they seem to be getting better and better. We dont have one particular brand preference, however we have heard really impressive things about the Roborock brand.
